Boogietek Photo+Cinema is a husband & wife creative team based in South Florida. For over 15 years, we have woven light, motion, and emotion into images that outlast the moment. From the quiet trembling of a first look to the joyful chaos of the last dance. Every frame we capture is a love letter to your story, crafted with intention, artistry, and an unshakeable belief that the ordinary, seen through the right eyes, is anything but.

Jose · Lead Photographer & Director

Creativity runs in Jose's blood, born from a lineage of photography pioneers on his mother's side and movie-theater owners in the Dominican Republic on his father's. Since 2008, he has devoted his craft to freezing emotions that words cannot hold: the stolen glance, the tearful exhale, the laugh that fills a room. His approach is quiet, unobtrusive, and deeply intentional, turning fleeting seconds into timeless art.

Sheila · Videographer & Second Photographer

Where Jose sees a photograph, Sheila sees movement, the breath before the frame, the story within the story. Trained alongside her husband and soulmate, she brings a natural, empathetic eye to every event she enters. Together, they form something greater than the sum of their parts: a team that sees your wedding in full dimension, capturing it the way it truly felt to live it.

South Florida, Our Home

In 2010, Boogietek relocated to Florida, settling in Davie and later moving to Pembroke Pines, the geographic heart of the South Florida Tri-County market. Jose trained Sheila as videographer, second shooter and creative partner, making Boogietek the husband-and-wife team couples trust completely on the most important day of their lives.

The Signature

"Cinematic Style + Candid Capture" became our defining approach — unobtrusive, discreet, documentary-driven. We move through your wedding like light moves through a room: naturally, without disruption, capturing everything without disturbing anything.
